Samurai Core Men’s Bjj Gi-Blue

I have four other gis and have been practicing BJJ since 2016. This is a great lightweight quality gi, unfortunately the sizing was off for me so I didn't end up keeping it.

I am 6'0" and 195, I wear 34x32 pants and a 44 jacket - The A3 was so close to a perfect fit. The pants were a bit big which I thought was perfect because even no shrink gis shrink some. The A3 jacket was a perfect fit out of the box, but I suspect after washing (Even careful Cold wash, hang dry) it would shrink to an unacceptable fit. I think with my body size/type I am just between sizes.

I am confident,however, that if you are within the sizing guide you will like this gi and it will last you a long time. What drew me to this gi in particular was the minimal branding. I hate the look of billboard grappling apparel.

The gi is super lightweight and comfortable, and the pearl weave has held up well so far. The collar feels a little stiff, which I think is due to the material used to keep it lightweight. It might make it harder for an opponent to grip the collar for certain chokes, although only time will tell how it performs in regular training.

For the price, I think it's a good option, especially for beginners who are just getting into BJJ and don't want to spend too much on their first gi. My only concern is the durability over time, but so far, it seems decent.

One thing I'd recommend is checking the size chart carefully. I'm an A3, and the fit is slightly smaller in a few areas. Since I haven't washed it yet, I'm a little concerned about shrinkage. Overall, it's a decent gi for the price and a good starting point for anyone new to jiu-jitsu.

I purchased this blue BJJ gi 3 months ago when I started jiu-jitsu. At first, it felt a lot thinner and lighter than my Tatami Nova gi, so I wasn't sure how long it would last. However, after 3 months of training 5 times a week, with multiple washes and machine drying, it's still going strong.

**Pros:**

- Lightweight and comfortable

- Great for regular training sessions

- Holds up well to machine washing and drying

- Doesn't shrink excessively, even after repeated washes

I've machine-dried it at least twice a week on normal high heat, and it's held its shape and fit really well. The blue colour still looks good after regular use.

**Cons:**

- The trousers can pick up dirt and stains easily, and some marks are difficult to remove. However, that's understandable when you're training on the mats several times a week.

- Availability can be an issue. I'd love to see more colour options and sizes available.

**Overall:** I'm really happy with this gi. It's lightweight, comfortable, and has held up much better than I expected. I'd definitely consider buying another one when more colours and sizes become available.
